Cable bills are expensive, and for many of us, the basic channels just don’t have what we want to watch. Netflix is available through most streaming devices including Blu-ray players, computers, Internet-connected televisions, and many of the gaming systems. There are also apps available for both Android and Apple devices making it possible to watch content anywhere at almost anytime.
A Netflix streaming account costs you a flat fee every month and gives you access to a continually shifting and growing library of digital content.
You can view as much of their content as your streaming and download limits allow for one low monthly price.
Netflix has the largest selection of streaming video.
Available to stream on multiple devices at the same time.
Individual profiles can be set up for different members of the family
Recommends shows that you may like based off of previous viewing and ratings
You can set a profile for children under 12, preventing them from viewing inappropriate material.
Vudu Pros

Vudu is available through most streaming devices including Blu-ray players, computers, Internet-connected televisions, and many of the gaming systems. There are also apps available for both Android and Apple devices making it possible to watch content anywhere at almost anytime.
Vudu does not have a monthly subscription fee, instead it works on a pay-per-view basis.
Through Vudu, you can either rent movies or purchase them to store in your digital library for viewing whenever you wish. Cost of a purchase is about the same as if you had purchased the movie in the store.
Vudu has new release movies and TV series.
You can set Parental Controls for any desired show ratings.
You can convert many Blu-ray videos into a digital version that is stored in UltraViolet on Vudu in your digital library. In fact, many of the videos currently for sale at Wal-mart come with a digital download code, so you can add them to your UV library.
Netflix Cons

Netflix content is typically six to 8 months old by the time it is available for streaming.
You pay a set monthly fee, no matter how little or how much you watch.
Child rating is set at PG-12, if you wish to allow your child to view some of the teen programming, you must disable parental controls.
